Tests
· THEORY TEST - 35 multiple choice questions on touch screen computer. (don't panic your granny can use this computer) You'll have 40 minutes to complete the test. You need to answer at least 30 questions correctly to pass. You will know if you have passed within a few minutes of completing the test. You must pass this test before you can apply for the practical driving test.
· HAZARD PERCEPTION TEST - 14 moving video clips testing your ability and speed at spotting hazards. Out of 75 points you must answer at least 42 correctly to pass. You will know if you have passed within a few minutes of completing the test. You must pass this test before you can apply for the practical driving test.
· PRACTICAL DRIVING TEST - You will be expected to show the examiner that you are able to drive safely and competently in all road and traffic conditions with due consideration for other road users. At the start of the test you will have to pass an eyesight test. You will also have to carry out special exercises eg; turn in the road, parallel park etc... The test will last approximately 40 minutes and the examiner will tell you at the end of the test if you have passed or failed.
